Frequently Asked Questions

  • In our first session we’ll review all the paperwork required, discuss the legal and ethical limits of therapy and confidentiality and then we’ll jump in! Either from the beginning of your story, or with what’s most distressing to you at the moment—either way I’ll ensure that we get to both and that together we’ll name your hopes and goals for therapy. While it can take some time to earn trust, my hope is that you feel understood and hopeful for our work together after the first session. However, sometimes it may not feel like great fit! If that’s the case then I have a network of wonderful colleagues I would be happy to refer you to. You getting the kind of care you’re seeking matters most.

  • $175 for Individual Sessions

$185 for Children, Teens & Family Therapy

I do offer sliding scale fees, however currently all of my sliding scale spots are full. If you are interested in services but need them at a discounted rate due to financial hardships, please still reach out! I’m happy to connect and to give you a trusted referral that’s able to accommodate your needs.

  • No, I do not take insurance directly as I am an out-of-network provider. However, while not guaranteed, I’ve had many clients find success in being reimbursed by their insurance when I’ve provided them with a Superbill. I would suggest calling your insurance directly for verification on how this process would work for your specific plan.

  • I have clients that come from diverse backgrounds regarding their faith, gender, culture, ethnicity, etc. It is of the highest priority to me to meet each person where they are based on their own set of values and beliefs. The focus of the work with my clients is on the concerns and challenges they bring in to therapy.

When requested by the client, I can integrate faith into the therapy process. If you have any questions about what this may look like, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, you have the right to receive a 'Good Faith Estimate' explaining the cost of your medical care. This estimate outlines the expected charges for psychotherapy services for patients who do not have insurance or are choosing not to use insurance. There are no additional costs beyond the session fees outlined in your consent form, and you can submit a superbill to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement if applicable. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

At the beginning of our time together, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate from me.
